Useful context without pretending certainty.
SmartCostTools’s calculator pages are written to explain the model rather than push a product or outcome.
Last reviewed: October 15, 2026.
Independence
Advertising, if enabled, does not determine calculator formulas, rankings or editorial conclusions. Sponsored content is not part of the calculator result.
Sources and assumptions
Where a formula is standard arithmetic, the page describes it directly. Where local rates, taxes or prices vary, the site avoids presenting one location’s value as universal and asks the user to enter their own current figure.
Review standard
Calculator formulas are checked against independent known-answer cases and the formula displayed to users. Written explanations are reviewed for internal consistency, obvious factual errors and claims of certainty that the model cannot support. Automated drafting is not treated as a substitute for formula review.
Corrections
Reports of mathematical, factual or accessibility errors are reviewed. Material formula corrections are treated as high priority because incorrect arithmetic can mislead users even when accompanied by a disclaimer.
Advertising separation
Ads, if enabled, are kept visually distinct from calculator inputs, action buttons and navigation. SmartCostTools does not ask users to click ads, does not disguise ads as tools, and does not exchange rewards for ad engagement.
No fabricated precision
The site does not claim live data when it is not connected to a live source, and it does not present forecasts as guaranteed outcomes. Estimates are labeled as estimates.
